Advertising Poster Set Smirnoff Vodka Alcohol Cocktail. Set of 5 original vintage drink handbill small advertising posters for Smirnoff, the renowned vodka brand founded in Moscow. 1. It was tea for two until we discovered Smirnoff. The photograph features a couple in elegant clothing with the Smirnoff logo below. These original vintage Smirnoff advertising posters are part of the 1970s The Effect is Shattering campaign by the London-based Young and Rubican agency, which aimed to promote the vodka as a way to achieve glamour and excitement as an escape from the humdrum of daily life. The photograph features a pilot resting against a vintage open top biplane, and wearing a leather wool lined brown leather bomber jacket, jeans and bandit aviator goggles. The effect is shattering. The set of photograph shows a man on a camel in the desert and shots of a drink being poured in the glass over ice and lemon. Good condition, creasing, crease marks. Advertising Poster GPO Wheatstones Tape Telegraph 1858 Eric Fraser. Original vintage advertising poster for the General Post Office (GPO) - Wheatstone's Tape Telegraph 1858 - featuring a great illustration by Eric Fraser (1902-1983) of the Wheatstone telegraph, an early electrical telegraph system invented by English scientist Charles Wheatstone. It was a form of needle telegraph, and the first telegraph system to be put into commercial service. Wheatstone is depicted using the telgraph with a bright star in the sky in the background, the GPO logo and the stylised title text below.
